Use this playbook to set up one simple appointment type. It assumes you already have access to bookto booking and have completed your shared account details and DPA.
1. Connect your calendar
Open Integrations in the bookto app and connect Google Calendar or Infomaniak Calendar. Choose the calendar booking should use. Bookto checks busy times to avoid offering a slot that conflicts with an existing event.
2. Set your working hours
Open Availability, choose your time zone and add the days and time blocks when you can take appointments. Add date exceptions for days off or extra availability.
3. Create one event type
In Event types, create a type such as 30-minute consultation. Add a short explanation, set the duration and location, and choose whether it follows your general availability. Start with only the booking questions you need.
If the customer should pay while choosing a time, create a checkout product and select it in the event type's Payment section. Booking holds the chosen slot while the customer completes checkout. Paid booking access is currently by invitation. See Paid appointments through bookto checkout.
4. Test it and share
Open the public event type page and submit a test booking. If the appointment is paid, use Test paid booking from the event type editor so the held slot and test payment are checked together.
When the details are right, make the event type live and share its direct URL. Listed event types also appear on your public booking overview. See Share your booking pages.
