Connect Zapier to bookto checkout

Use Zapier to automatically send order data to your accounting tool, email marketing platform, or any other app when a payment comes in.

Does your tool support Zapier?

Before you start, check whether the app you want to connect is available in Zapier. Go to zapier.com/apps and search for your tool by name. If it appears, you can connect it. If it does not, check whether your tool offers a direct API or webhook URL — you can use that with the API key & webhooks card in bookto checkout instead.

What you need

  • A bookto checkout account on the Flow plan
  • A free or paid Zapier account at zapier.com

Step 1 — Add bookto checkout to Zapier

bookto checkout is a private Zapier app. Use this invite link to add it to your account:

Step 2 — Generate your API key

  1. In bookto checkout, go to Dashboard → Integrations
  2. Click the API key & webhooks card
  3. Click Generate API key
  4. Copy the key — you will only see it once

Step 3 — Create your Zap

  1. In Zapier, click Create Zap
  2. Search for bookto checkout and select it
  3. Choose the trigger you need
  4. Paste your API key when asked
  5. Click Test trigger — Zapier will load your 3 most recent paid orders
  6. Select a record and click Continue

Step 4 — Add your action

Connect the trigger to the app you want to use. Common use cases:

  • Accounting & invoicing — create a draft invoice in Moneybird, Exact, or another tool. This has its own step-by-step guide: Connect your accounting or invoicing software →
  • Email marketing — add the buyer to a list in ActiveCampaign, Mailchimp, or another platform
  • Spreadsheets — log every order to Google Sheets or Airtable
  • Notifications — send yourself a Slack message or email for every new order

Flow plan required. Zapier and webhooks are available on the Flow plan. View plans →
